Candy Cane Cocktail

  • 1 shot vanilla rum
  • 1 shot white chocolate liqueur
  • 1 shot peppermint schnapps
  • peppermint sticks

This delicious drink mimics the taste of a delicious candy cane. You can create your own version of this cocktail with  a single shot each of vanilla rum, white chocolate liqueur, and peppermint schnapps. Shake up in a cocktail shaker on ice. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with a candy cane or peppermint stick for a holiday flair. If you would like, adding some whipped cream on top will give it that extra presentation and flair!

Eggnog Delight Cocktail

  • White sugar crystals
  • 2 cups store bought eggnog, chilled
  • ½ cup brandy
  • ½ amaretto rum
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

~Makes four servings~

If you enjoy the taste of eggnog, this cocktail is a must try. Unlike many premixed alcoholic eggnogs, this one doesn’t have the overpowering taste of alcohol. For this cocktail you will need some eggnog, brandy, amaretto rum, nutmeg, and vanilla ice cream. Combine the eggnog, brandy, ice cream, and amaretto in the blender until you have a smooth consistency.  Pour into a martini glass and top with a quarter teaspoon of nutmeg. Put the sugar on the rim and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Ginger Snap Cocktail

  • 1 oz. ginger beer
  • Ice
  • 1 tsp. ginger juice
  • 1 1/2 oz. dark rum
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon schnapps
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 egg white
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Crystallized ginger square
  • Finely ground gingerbread cookie

~Yields one serving~

Wet the rim of a martini glass with some ginger beer and then dip the rim in some crushed up cookie crumbs. Pour ginger juice, rum and cinnamon schnapps into a shaker. Add a pinch of ground cloves over some ice. Separate an egg and add egg white to shaker. Shake vigorously for at least 20 seconds until drink  is frothy. Shake longer for a foamier drink. Add ginger beer and stir slightly. Pour into glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and crystallized ginger square, and sprinkle the top with finely ground gingerbread cookie.

Maple Butter Kiss

  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. DeKuyper Buttershots liqueur or butterscotch schnapps
  • 1/4 oz. real maple syrup
  • 1 oz. half-and-half
  • Fresh-ground nutmeg

~Makes one serving~

Put all of your ingredients except the nutmeg in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake vigorously for about ten seconds. Pour into a martini glass and then garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg to taste.

Spiked Hot Chocolate

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 1/2 ounces best-quality dark, bittersweet or semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum, or to taste

~Makes two servings~

Put saucepan on low heat. Add milk and chocolate saucepan, allowing it to heat gradually. Once you notice the chocolate melting, add in the cinnamon stick, honey, and sugar. Make sure to stir continually to avoid the chocolate burning on the bottom. Wait until the chocolate has fully melted before adding in the vanilla extract. Take the tablespoons of rum and whisk it into the mixture.Taste to see if you would like more added. Using tongs, extract the cinnamon stick and pour into two different mugs. Add some additional sugar, if desired. Top with some whip cream and chocolate shavings for garnish.
